Supper

All the important — and not so important — conversations, discussions, and decisions at the residency took place around our dining table, which stood beneath the walnut trees. The table was the center around which our small domestic universe revolved.

This work is an attempt to preserve the memory of those quiet evening gatherings at the table, lit by fire and candlelight — the atmosphere of warmth and closeness, the dialogues between artists in which the ideas for new works were born, the memory of something precious and inexpressible.

These memories gradually dissolve in the movement of time, with the coming of morning, just as the objects on the table dissolve and merge into one another.
