Shroud
2023
“Shroud” is the result of my experiments with natural fabric dyeing and working with metal oxides. A metal sword-stand was also used in the creation of this piece.In meaning, the work resonates with “Prayer”: it is a visual image of a collective plea for victory and for the safety of every person you know. “Shroud” is a visual metaphor for the process of creating new sacred objects and saints in the contemporary Ukrainian context.
